The Little Artist (Ages 3–5): Story-based art projects that develop creativity, color recognition, and fine motor skills.

Young Master (Ages 6–8): Foundational drawing and painting techniques using watercolor, acrylic, and mixed media.

Creative Foundations (Ages 8–10): Exploration of perspective, proportion, and color blending while learning art principles through engaging projects.

Fundamental Drawing / Painting (Ages 6–10): Step-by-step lessons to strengthen technical drawing and painting skills.

Cancellation, Makeup & Refund Policies Class Cancellation Policy

If your child needs to miss a class, please notify The Artist Lab at least 24 hours in advance by phone, text, voicemail, or WeChat.

Phone/Text: 858-203-8508 or 858-867-0721 Absences without advance notice are considered no-shows and are not eligible for make-up classes or credits.

Camp Cancellation Policy

If your child or household member is sick, please stay home and contact us as soon as possible. We can transfer registrations that haven’t started to another available camp day.

Early Bird Purchases: Early Bird Special purchases are final sale — refunds are issued as account credits only for future use. No cash refunds.

Regular-Priced Camps:

• 72+ hours before camp start: Full refund available.

• 24–72 hours before camp start: Refund to original payment: subject to a $10 cancellation fee per day. Refund as account credit: full value retained for future camps or classes.

• Less than 24 hours before camp start: No refunds.

Once camp has started, all registrations are final sale and non-refundable.

Make-Up Policy

• 4-Visit Package: No make-ups allowed. Any missed class counts as a no-show.

• 10-Visit Package: 1 make-up allowed with 24-hour advance notice. No notice = no-show (class deducted).

• 20-Visit Package: 2 make-ups allowed with 24-hour advance notice. No notice = no-show.

• 40-Visit Package: 5 make-ups allowed with 24-hour advance notice. No notice = no-show.

Make-up classes must be used within 1 month of issuance. By purchasing any visit package, guardians agree to this policy.

Class Change Policy

• Switching to a different class type: May be available (space permitting) with a $30 processing fee, requested at least 48 hours in advance.

• Switching class time (same type): May be available (space permitting) with no fee, requested at least 48 hours in advance.

Return & Refund Policy

• Presale, Discounted, and Early Enrollment classes: Final sale, no refunds or exchanges.

• Regular-Priced Classes: Within 3 days of purchase: full refund minus $35 transaction fee. After 3 days (but before package starts): 80% refund minus $35 transaction fee. Once the class package has started, all sales are final. Unused classes or hours cannot be exchanged for other programs, and no price adjustments will be issued.

To maintain a healthy environment, The Artist Lab reserves the right to send children home if they show any of the following symptoms:

Fever (100°F or higher) — must be fever-free for 24 hours without medication before returning. Fever with sore throat, rash, vomiting, diarrhea, earache, irritability, or confusion. Signs of contagious conditions (lice, rash, ringworm, etc.). Continuous crying, irritability, or need for individual attention that impacts classroom safety or care.

Please keep your child home if they are unwell to ensure the health and safety of all students.
